No surprises on the invoice
Billed per active employee
The base fee covers the employees it includes. Each active employee beyond that is billed at your plan’s per-employee rate.
People who leave stop counting
Deactivate an employee and they no longer count towards your bill or your limit. Their records stay.
Each plan has a ceiling
Starter takes up to 50 employees and Business up to 300. Adding one more is blocked until you upgrade — you are never moved up a plan without asking.
Monthly or yearly, in advance
Pay at the start of each month, or for a year at a time and get two months free. Enterprise is billed yearly.
GST on top
Listed prices exclude GST. It is added at the applicable rate — currently 18% — and shown separately on every invoice with the GST details.
14 days free, then decide
Starter and Business start with a 14-day trial with everything on the plan switched on. Nothing is invoiced for the trial.
20% off for schools and NGOs
Schools, NGOs and registered non-profits get 20% off any plan. Tell us when you sign up.

One invoice per billing period, itemised by base fee, extra employees and add-ons, downloadable as a PDF from the admin console.

Who counts as an employee?
Anyone active in your company who punches in. Deactivated employees, and accounts you mark as not taking a seat, are not counted.
What happens when we reach our plan’s limit?
Adding or reactivating another employee is refused with a message saying so. Upgrade, or deactivate someone who has left, and you can carry on. Everything already recorded keeps working.
Can we change plans later?
Yes, up or down — write to us. A plan you move down to has to fit your active headcount.
Is the yearly price really ten months?
Yes. On Starter and Business, a year costs ten times the monthly price — base fee, extra employees and add-ons alike.
Why is GST extra?
Our prices are quoted before tax, the way most business software is. GST is added at the applicable rate, currently 18%, and shown separately on the invoice.
How do we pay?
We raise an invoice at the start of each billing period, payable within the terms stated on it. See the terms of use for the full fees clause.
Do you offer discounts?
Schools, NGOs and non-profits get 20% off. Larger organisations should talk to us about Enterprise, which is priced for your headcount.
Do employees need anything?
Just an Android phone with the Cadence app, downloaded free from this site. Employees never pay for anything.
