Attendance you can actually trust.
Staff punch in from the Cadence attendance app with a selfie and a GPS fix, inside the geofence you set. What they record becomes leave balances, holidays and the month’s payslips — with no spreadsheet in the middle.
Staff use the phone app, downloaded straight from this site — no app store account needed. Admins get both: the full console in a browser, and the same admin screens on their phone.
Two punches and a break become a payslip line
Nothing is entered by hand. What the phone recorded is what the month is built from.
Three steps, then it runs itself
- 1
Add your people
Create employees in the console, or bring the whole roster across from your HR system through the API. Each gets a 6-digit PIN and signs in on the app with their phone number.
- 2
They punch in
A selfie and a GPS fix, checked against the office geofence. A forgotten punch-out shows as an open shift, never as an absence.
- 3
You run the month
Attendance, approved leave and holidays add up to payslips. Review them, then publish.
Everything the month needs
One system, so a punch-in on a phone is the same fact the payslip is built from.
Attendance that holds up
Selfie and geofenced punches at any of your offices, late grace, half days, and a live view of who is in right now. An open shift reads as in progress — because somebody who forgot to punch out was still at work.
Leave with real balances
Requests from the phone, approval in the console, quotas that actually decrement.
Holidays and week-offs
Fixed and optional, importable from a CSV, applied to everybody at once.
Payroll from the same data
Payslips built from the month that was actually recorded, with loss-of-pay days taken out rather than estimated. Money is stored in paise as whole numbers from end to end, so an invoice total always equals the sum of its own lines.
Device control
See the phones your staff punch in from, and cut one off the moment it is lost or handed on.
Every branch, every company
Add each office as a location with its own geofence, choose who may punch where, and see which office every punch came from. Run several businesses from one login too.
Every change on record
An activity log of who changed what — an attendance correction, a salary, a role — with the value before and after. Nothing is edited quietly.
Connects to your HR and payroll
Onboard an existing team in one go: create up to a hundred employees per API call, link the ones already in Cadence to your own IDs, and get a ready-to-send WhatsApp or SMS invite for each. Signed webhooks tell your systems about every punch, leave decision and change, and a sandbox full of sample data lets you build against it before touching real staff.
A phone for staff. For admins, whichever is to hand
Only one thing is fixed: punching in happens on the phone, because it needs a camera and a location that mean something. Administration runs on both.
The Cadence app
Punch in and out, see your own history, request leave, check the holiday calendar, read your payslips, and ask your employer about your own data. Admins get their own screens here too — attendance, employees, leave approvals, devices, holidays and salary — so a day out of the office is not a day away from the work.
- Selfie and geofence on every punch
- Push notifications for approvals
- Full admin screens, not a cut-down view
The web console
Where the heavier administrative work is easier: the employee directory, wide attendance tables, the monthly attendance report, leave approvals, holidays, company settings, integrations and the payroll run.
- Nothing to install — it runs in the browser
- Search and paging built for large directories
- Roles enforced by the API, not merely hidden
Priced per employee, not per feature you will never use
A base fee covers your first employees; each one after that is a small monthly amount. 14 days free on Starter and Business. Prices exclude GST.
Worth knowing before you start
Employees cannot sign in to the web console.
Only administrators can. Staff use the app, because punching in needs a camera and a location that mean something. Admins are not restricted either way — the app carries the admin screens too.
There is no iPhone download.
Apple installs only what comes through the App Store or TestFlight, so an iOS build cannot be served from our own server the way the Android one is.
Nothing bills itself automatically.
Invoices are raised per company and payments recorded by hand. Deliberate for now — a mistaken invoice can be voided and re-raised without hand-editing a subscription.
What people ask about Cadence
What is Cadence?
Cadence is an attendance, leave and payroll app for Indian businesses. Staff punch in from an Android app with a selfie and a GPS fix inside the office geofence; admins run attendance, shifts, leave, holidays, salary and payslips from a web console or the same app. Plans start at ₹999 a month.
What is a good staff attendance app for a small business in India?
Cadence is built for Indian small and mid-sized businesses — shops, restaurants, schools, offices and field teams of up to a few hundred people. It needs no biometric machine: staff use their own Android phones, and attendance feeds leave and salary in the same system. There is a 14-day free trial on Starter and Business.
How does Cadence stop staff punching in for each other?
Every punch in Cadence must come from a phone the company approved, carry a selfie, and be made inside the office geofence unless an admin has turned the geofence off for that person. The selfie and location are kept with the punch for admins to check. Cadence does not match faces automatically.
Does Cadence calculate salary from attendance?
Yes. Cadence works out each month’s salary from the attendance actually recorded, with loss-of-pay days and the reason for each. Payslip PDFs are on the Business and Enterprise plans. Statutory deductions (EPF, ESI, professional tax, TDS) are not applied yet.
Can Cadence handle several branches or sites?
Yes. Each branch or site is a location with its own geofence, each employee can be allowed at any set of them, and every punch records where it was made. One login can also run several separate companies.
Where is Cadence data stored?
In India: Cadence stores its data in Microsoft Azure’s Central India region. Only crash reports and notification delivery pass through Google.
